How To Save Chapped Lips

IMG_3434

There isn’t anything worse than going to apply your favorite lipsticks and realizing the dry state of your lips. Trust me we all have been there and possibly still are there. Well, that is most likely why you are reading this post, anyway. Let’s get into my top tips and products for un-chapped lips.

You want to start by exfoliating your lips. You can use a lip scrub or my technique that is very inexpensive. What I like to do is use a recycled mascara wand. Once my mascara was all dried out I removed the spoolie, cleaned it off, and voila! When you exfoliate dip the spoolie into some Vaseline and rub onto your lips until your notice your dead skin being removed.

The next step is simple, moisturize. I have a different chapstick in every bag I own. My all time favorite is the Sweet Sisters Lipmint. The packaging is adorable, which is a plus! When you rub the balm onto you lips it instantly melts onto your lips. Literally the balm will have a top layer of slightly melted chapstick. Another essential that everyone should have is the Smith’s Rosebud Salve. I think that packaging is again to die for and the priciest its self is very similar to Vaseline. The different though is that it is better for the lips with a slight tint to it.

After these steps have been achieved you can add your favorite lipstick on! What is your favorite?
